Time:
Run or Walk the Vineyards 5K
- 5:00 p.m. – Race day registration and packet pickup begins
- 6:30 p.m. – One mile fun run/walk
- 7:00 p.m. – 5K run/ 5K walk
- 8:00 p.m. – Awards ceremony. Random door prizes. Refreshments.
Location:
The Vineyards of Williamsburg Clubhouse, Jockey’s Neck Trail (off Lake Powell Road, Williamsburg, VA).
Course:
Mostly flat and very scenic 5K out-and-back course through the Vineyards of Williamsburg residential community and Treasure Island Road. The start, finish, registration, and awards ceremony will be at the Vineyards of Williamsburg Clubhouse. Directions link

Refreshments:Post-race food and refreshments are being provided by Carrabas Restaurant, Ben and Jerry's and Ukrop’s. Refreshments will be set up in front of the Clubhouse. |
Race Sponsors:Sponsorships are still being accepted! If you would like your business’ logo on the race t-shirt, flyer and other areas, click here for a sponsorship form. |
Shirts:All pre-registered 5K Run/Walk entrants will receive a t-shirt in the requested size. Race-day entrants will receive shirts while supplies last. Sizes are not guaranteed for race-day entrants. One-mile fun run entrants must pay $10 per t-shirt. |
Drawings:All entrants in the Vineyards Runs are automatically eligible to win prizes in random drawings. Entrants must be present and must claim their prizes on race day. This race is known for fabulous door prizes. |
Raffle:Bikes Unlimited has donated a Raleigh mountain bicycle to be raffled. $2 per chance or 6 for $10. Proceeds benefit CDR. Winner need not be present to win. |
Awards:
- top three overall male and female 5K winners
- top three males and females in five-year age groups, from 14-and-under through 65-and-over in the 5K race
- top five males and females in the 5K walk
Parking:
Park on designated streets. Avoid blocking driveways or parking on lawns.
Restrooms:
Portable and clubhouse facilities are available at start/finish. Avoid “tree line relief”.
No PETS allowed at this event.

From interstate 64, take exit 242-A (toward Jamestown) on Route 199 West. After crossing the Colonial Parkway and South Henry Street, take a left at the next traffic light (the third traffic light after exiting I-64), at Brookwood Drive (look for Airport signs - also the Virginia Wineries, Grape Cluster Tour signs). Go one short block, and then turn left onto Lake Powell Road. From Colonial Williamsburg or the College of William and Mary, take Jamestown Road (Route 31) to a left at Route 199 East, and a right at Brookwood Drive. Go down Lake Powell Road for one mile, just past the Williamsburg Winery entrance, to a left on Jockey’s Neck Road, and a right on Jockey’s Neck Trail. Follow Jockey’s Neck Trail to parking in the vicinity of the Vineyards of Williamsburg Clubhouse and Pool.
Raindate:
In case of severe weather (continued lightning and thunderstorms), the rain date will be Sunday, August 10, at 6:30 P.M. (1 mile) and 7:00 P.M. (5K).
