10K for the 5K Challenge

Race Information

This is the third year CDR has held this scenic 5K through The Vineyards of Williamsburg. Last year there were 600 finishers, 800 attendees, and we raised $18,500. This year, our goal is to raise $30,000 to provide services for children
birth to three. With your help we can do it!

Time:

  • 5:00 PM    Packet pickup, race day fun, games, and sponsor tailgates.
  • 6:30 PM    One mile Fun Run and Walk
  • 7:00 PM    5K Run and Walk
  • 8:00 PM    Awards ceremony, raffle drawing, door prizes, Ben & Jerry’s ice cream.

Race Packet Pickup: New this year race packets will be available for pickup prior to race day at Child Development Resources, 150 Point O’ Woods Road, Williamsburg, VA 23188 as well as at the race.

Registration Dates: Registration fee includes tshirt and food vouchers

$25.00 - Early bird registration postmarked by 7/15/2010
$30.00 - Registration postmarked 7/16/2010 through 8/13/2010
$35.00 - Race Day

**This race is limited to 625 entrants and does sell out.**

Shirts: All pre-registered 5K Run/Walk entrants will receive a t-shirt in the requested size. (T-shirts for Fun Run participants available for additional $10.)

Raffle: Prize(s) to be announced. Proceeds benefit CDR. Winner need not be present to win.

Awards:

  • Top three overall 5K winners, men and women
  • Top three men and women in five-year age groups, from 14-and-under through 65-and-over in the 5K race.
  • Top five men and women in the 5K walk.
  • Top three fundraising teams or individuals.

Parking: Park in designated lot only. Parking is provided at the front of the neighborhood with shuttle service to the clubhouse available.

Bag Drop: A bag drop will be available to runners at the start/finish line.

Refreshments: Post-race food and refreshments provided by Hog Wild and Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream. You must present bib pull tags for food and ice cream.
